God’s Plan of Salvation

Are you absolutely sure where you will go when you die?  You can know today beyond a shadow of doubt.

Receiving God’s offer of salvation through faith in Christ can give you peace beyond all understanding, and absolute certainty of where you will spend eternity.

God’s plan is simple.  He has made forgiveness from sin available through faith in His Son Jesus Christ.

He offers this salvation to us as a free gift.  It is up to each of us to decide whether to receive or reject it.

The Problem of Sin

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.   – Romans 3:23

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.   -James 2:10

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you.   – Isaiah 59:2

The first man and woman who ever lived disobeyed God, and every human since has been born with a sin nature.  Because of God’s perfect holiness, sin separates us from Him.

There is no grading curve; God does not compare us to each other.  Our lives are measured individually against God’s standard, and none of us makes the grade.

The Penalty for Sin

For the wages of sin is death.   – Romans 6:23

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.   – Hebrews 9:22

Falling short of God’s holiness carries a great penalty.  He must, and will, punish all sin.  Death is not just the ceasing of life, it is separation from God; physically, spiritually, and eternally.

Sin and spiritual death separate us from God.  Human attempts to satisfy His righteous demands can never succeed.  We cannot earn eternal life.  All of us are justly condemned to face God’s wrath in hell forever.

The Solution to Sin

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.   – John 3:16

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.   – Romans 10:9

I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh to the Father but through me.         – John 14:6

God loves you so much, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to shed His own blood on the cross for your sin, and for the sin of all who believe on His name.

Believing is not just agreeing that Jesus lived, died, or even rose from the dead.  To believe on the name of Jesus Christ means confessing there is nothing you can do to earn salvation in the eyes of God.

Believing means repenting of your sins and any effort to save yourself.  It means acknowledging the wonderful truth that Jesus Christ completely paid for all of your sins on the cross.  It means entrusting the entire debt of your sin to His care.

Receiving this free gift of salvation from sin can be as simple as saying a quiet prayer in your heart :

“Thank you God, for loving me.  I confess that I am a sinner and cannot save myself.  But in your great mercy, you sent your Son Jesus to die on the cross as punishment for my sins, and to rise from the dead to give me eternal life in Him.

I repent of my sins, and I ask you to forgive me through Jesus’ blood shed on the cross for me.  Thank you for the gift of forgiveness and eternal life.”
